Neck-Knives are great! Always there when you need them, discreet, lightweight & a perfect backup blade. Many people are now carrying neck knives as their primary field blade for just these reasons.

Unless you're planning a serious BIG game hunt or a week or more in the back-country a small knife such as this will probably be all you'd ever need. The 2-1/2" long, 1/8" thick, Carbon steel blade is great for those day-to-day cutting tasks. Opening boxes, cutting string, pruning in the garden even cleaning up small (and large) game; the Necker takes it all and more! Hardened to RWC 62 it will hold it's edge for a very long time & requires nothing more than a touch on a crock-stick to keep it that way. It has a sturdy 25 degree edge bevel that won't roll or chip during use & a slightly drop-pointed blade with a sturdy tip.

The Necker comes (oddly enough) in a neck sheath wet formed from 1/8" thick cowhide, coloured to your requirements & with a long leather thong. The handle (shown in Olivewood) is secured with 2, 5/32" brass pins & is finished with natural oils, to keep the worst of the weather out.
